"With plenty of polished wood and trendy light fixtures, Sophie''s certainly has the look of a hip, South Kensington steakhouse. The waiting staff all seem preternaturally tall and slim, while the clientele are a mix of old Kensington money and new American cash. The chill-out music is kept to a low repetitive beat and, in general, the place pushes all the right buttons.The food is excellent, straightforward cooking. Steaks are big and juicy: good cuts of meat well cooked. The peppered steak salad seems to be one of the most popular dishes."
