This stunning south-facing room is bathed in sunlight and looks out over the Parterre, gardens and River Thames. Its classical elegance and fine works of art give it an enviable touch of romance, for which Cliveden is famous. It is a room where art quite literally meets nature.
Lunch and dinner are served here, offering classic English and French dishes combined with Cliveden’s extensive cellar book.
For lunch during the week choose from a table d’hôte seasonal monthly menu which offers tremendous value (£32 for two courses or £35 for three courses) or from the more extensive a la carte selection. Sunday lunch is such a popular highlight of the week that we have extended this traditional menu to Saturdays as well – sirloin of beef and Yorkshire pudding always features within a seasonal menu which changes weekly. You may wish to enjoy a walk in the National Trust grounds before or after lunch.
In the evening, enjoy award-winning modern classic French cuisine with dishes brimming with fresh, seasonal ingredients and local produce.
With its three impressive chandeliers, six sets of French windows, and numerous portraits it is hard to imagine a grander setting in which to indulge oneself.
